BOC/RD350
Submitted by Judy
I fell in love with
bikes after my first ride @ age 7. When I served in the military
in the
mid-70s I lived in Germany & got my first street bike, an RD350.
I was
enamored with the concept of Cafe Racers and the nicer bikes available
in
Europe; I also became a big fan of the Rock Group Blue Oyster Cult,
and
especially their album Secret Treaties, with stories about WWII
and the
Messerschmitt Me262. One day out riding in the canyons in '77 it
came to me:
I must, someday, build the ultimate BOC/RD350-based Cafe Racer.
I finally
started about 6 years ago, and after all this time am just about
finished.
I guess that might make me a bit weird in many people's eyes, but
my motto
has always been, "why be normal?" and so you have it...complete
with "20mm
fuselage machine gun" turn signal housings in the fairing.
