"Naru Nekko"
-in Japanese: "black cat"
(S.A.'s Honda CB550)
Built by Al Gonezbach of Walnut Creek, Calif. Its fitted with 750
carbs, megacycle cam and bored out to 600cc's
It has shouldered alloy racing wheels with chrome spokes and sticky
Avon tires. The fiberglass tail section was built up from a mold
that Al made himself. I stuck on the old bike barn fairing ( I will
substitute it for a more period one when I find a model I like better)I
also added the cheapie bar-end mirrors after one particularly scary
incident(I cut off a four axle mack semi-and never even saw it!).

Instead of the usual Clip-ons it has Late model Honda Hawk drag
bars, which are cool looking but are also very comfortable. It has
stock NOS pipes which are really bloody expensive if I dent them
($400 per side if you can get them) they have been bored out so
I still get a nice angry roar and it will still set off car alarms
and scream when I rev it up.

Its a great little bike and i'm lucky to have scored it..and can't
think of anything to replace it, there are temptations to by a modern
superbike, but I think I'll just wait and save up and keep the little
devil, I have had so many adventures on it, I think it would be
painful to sell.
